About the DVD

1. Introduction

This DVD was created in order to:
a) inform about Esperanto – to those who do not know about it,
b) teach Esperanto – to those who are interested in it,
c) make use of Esperanto – for all who want to enjoy Esperanto culture

The content of the DVD was compiled by E@I, an international youth organisation (involved in extremely diverse projects related to Education@Internet) whose main goals are to encourage intercultural learning and to support learning about and usage of the Internet and languages.

2. Content

There is a wide variety of material in this DVD that is intended to help you "discover" Esperanto (if you have not already done so) and to be a source of useful materials (if you already speak the language).

By means of this DVD, you can experience Esperanto as a working, living and cultural international language that certainly merits attention and wider renown.

The content is divided according to the three-point action plan of Universala Esperanto-Asocio, the World Esperanto Association: Information, Education, Use. Each chapter contains a number of parts; some of them are divided into sub-menus.

How is this DVD to be used? With it, you can:
learn about Esperanto (the Information section), about its history, initiator, birth, evolution...
learn Esperanto (the Education section) – from a total beginner to professoral level – everyone will find things that suit their own preference/ability...
use Esperanto (the Uses section) – various opportunities to use the language: watching films, listening to music, reading books and magazines, playing games...
